Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Outlaw Roundup ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

Description of Service

Outlaw Roundup is a free, web-based educational game designed for K-12 classroom use. Teachers create vocabulary-based game sessions that students join using a game code and anonymous alias. The Service is intended for educational purposes only. Teachers may optionally purchase a Supporter subscription that unlocks additional tools (see “Supporter Subscriptions” below); the core game remains free.

Supporter Subscriptions

• What it is. The Supporter plan is an optional, recurring subscription for teachers. It currently unlocks the AI Word Bank Generator, the detailed results breakdown, and larger game sessions. We may adjust what the plan includes over time; the free plan will continue to offer the core game.
• Payment. Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment processor Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice; a change takes effect at your next renewal.
• Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Account → Plan (“Manage billing”); you keep Supporter features until the end of the period already paid for, and nothing in your account is deleted when a subscription ends.
• Refunds. Because the free plan lets you evaluate the Service fully before paying, subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If something has gone wrong (for example a duplicate charge), contact us via the Help page and we will make it right.
• Schools. Schools and districts that prefer to pay by invoice or purchase order can have Supporter access set up for their teachers directly — contact us via the Help page.
• Deleting your account cancels any active subscription immediately.

User Accounts

Teacher Accounts

• Only teachers, educators, or authorized school personnel should create accounts
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

Student Participation

• Students do not create accounts
• Students join games using a code and anonymous alias only
• Teachers are responsible for supervising student use of the Service

Teacher Responsibilities

As a teacher using Outlaw Roundup, you agree to:

• Use the Service for legitimate educational purposes only
• Ensure students use anonymous aliases rather than their real names when required by your school's policies
• Comply with your school's or district's privacy policies and procedures
• Not share your account credentials with unauthorized users
• Supervise student use of the Service during class time
• Report any security concerns or misuse to us promptly
• Delete game data in accordance with your school's data retention policies

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Upload or share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Service for commercial purposes or advertising
• Collect personal information about other users without consent

Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of any vocabulary sets, questions, or other content you create. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and display it as part of the Service.

Content Guidelines

• Content must be appropriate for educational settings
• You must have the right to use any content you upload
• Do not upload copyrighted material without permission
• We may remove content that violates these terms

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any interruption or cessation of the Service
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings, which will remove all associated data.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Outlaw Roundup operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
