End-User License Agreement
Effective: August 2026 · Version 1.0
This End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) is between you — the teacher, school, or school division using the service (“you”) — and Outlaw Roundup (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Outlaw Roundup, you agree to this EULA together with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Students do not create accounts and are not parties to this agreement; the teacher or school directing their use is responsible for that use.
1. License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Outlaw Roundup for classroom and educational purposes. The core service is provided free of charge for teachers and students; an optional paid Supporter plan unlocks additional tools (see Section 6A).
2. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- resell, sublicense, or charge others for access to the service;
- copy, scrape, or bulk-export content that other teachers have shared, other than through the features provided;
- reverse engineer, probe, or attempt to bypass the service's security rules or rate limits;
- use the AI generation feature for anything other than creating classroom vocabulary material, or submit personal information about students to it;
- upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, or inappropriate for a K-12 audience;
- use the service to collect personal information from students.
3. Your Content
You keep ownership of the question sets and other content you create. You grant us the license needed to host, store, display, and process that content to operate the service. If you mark a set as shared to the community bank, you additionally grant other teachers the right to view and duplicate it for their own classroom use; you can unshare it at any time, which stops new access but does not recall copies already made.
4. AI-Generated Content
The AI Word Bank Generator uses a third-party AI service (OpenAI, processed in the United States) to draft vocabulary sets from prompts you write. You are responsible for reviewing generated content for accuracy and classroom suitability before using it. Do not paste student work or any student personal information into it.
5. Student Privacy
The service is designed so that students never provide personal information. Optional class rosters remain on your own device and are never transmitted to us. Your use of rosters and results must comply with your school division's policies and applicable law (in Alberta, the Education Act and the Protection of Privacy Act). See the Privacy Policy and sample DPA.
6. Availability & Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim for reliability but the service is provided without uptime guarantees. We may update this EULA; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance, and material changes will be flagged on this page's version line.
6A. Supporter Plan
The Supporter plan is an optional recurring subscription billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly, in advance. It renews automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time from Account → Plan; Supporter features remain available until the end of the paid period. Features included in the plan may change over time. Fees are generally non-refundable because the free plan allows full evaluation first; contact us via the Help page if a charge is in error. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription. See the Terms of Use for full details.
7. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account (and all associated data) at any time from Account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this EULA. Sections 3, 8, and 9 survive termination.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Educational content — including AI-generated content — is not guaranteed to be accurate or curriculum-aligned.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data, arising from use of the service. As the service is free, our total aggregate liability is limited to CAD $100. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Governing Law
This EULA is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and disputes are subject to the courts of Alberta.
